Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Graduate Gemologist and third generation jeweler Michael Cortez founded Gemological Services of  Southern California in 2000 to offer consultations for fine jewelry establishments and individuals throughout California.

The company has since expanded to form World Gemological Services to provide services to California and its surrounding states. Customer  service, client confidentiality, and accuracy continue to mark the heart of our company. We use only cutting edge equipment and we pride  ourselves on our expert knowledge of diamond and gemstone identification and grading. World Gemological Services is committed to delivering  personalized service with exceptional results.

Our appraisers are highly qualified and are graduates of GIA.  We are candidates for ISA and have  members that are part of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA).
